The latest tapestry update is now capable of automatically filtering out these duplicates, even if the posts are not exactly the same. For example, if a longer Mastodon post is rejected to meet the 300-character limit of Bluesy, tapestry would still detect the differences and hide the duplicate post.

Users can choose whether they want to hide the duplicate post, or “muffle”, or if they prefer to completely remove it from their feed by mocking it.

It works because Tapestry is looking for repeated text from the same author about various feeds, not necessarily a word-by-word contest.

The updated version of the app also contains a feature called QuickLinks, which is shortcuts for favorite timelines or custom feeds. Users can vary between up to four different timelines by giving long pressure on the feed icon on the app’s workbar. (These adjustments are also device -specific, which means people can choose to have another set of favorites on iPhone and iPad).

Another smaller adjustment that is rolling out contains an easier access button to refresh feeds and jump between feeding places. It is found in the left button button button. Users can also adapt feeds into the actionenu of an item and exchange the app icon, among other things.
