Tiktok starts meditation exercises in the app, the social network announced on Thursday. Earlier this year, the company started testing the meditation exercises with selected teens and now makes the feature available to all users on its app.
The idea behind the feature is to help users improve their sleep quality and encourage them to put the app down during the endless browsing sessions in the late night.
For teenager under the age of 18, meditation will be switched on by default. If a teenager uses the app after 10pm, they will be interrupted for your feed through a guided meditation exercise that encourages them to ward off the night. The meditation has a calming screen and soft music along with breathing exercises.

If teens choose to ignore the message and continue to use the app, they will see a second full screen that will make them sleep.
Tiktok has introduced new teenage safety features over the past few years in response to concerns about the impact of the app on its latest users. The new meditation function is the latest attempt to strive.
Adults interested in the meditation feature can turn it on by navigating the app’s screen time settings. From there you just have to contact the “sleeping hours” function. You can choose what time you want to see the meditation exercise every night.
Tiktok also announced that it will donate $ 2.3 million to advertising credites to 31 mental health organizations in 19 countries around the world as part of its mental health education Fund.
